Crazy Love, Michael Buble’s new CD, is also the title for his new Tour and the kickoff for the Tour was none other than at the St. Pete Times Forum. Filled with love and craziness, it was so enticingly fun the crowd repeatedly served Buble with standing ovations. And he’s almost as sexy as this writer’s husband!
I had never seen Buble perform although I’ve greatly admired his music. On Saturday evening, he dished up a performance that blew me away. This entertainer is the real deal, genuinely caring of his music and his fans. A little girl up front celebrating her 8th birthday had a homemade sign she made for the occasion. Once Buble saw her from the stage and read her sign aloud, he went over to pick her up on stage and gave her a big bear hug. It made her birthday; in fact I’m sure it made her entire year. What a thrill with memories that will remain with her forever. Crazy love!
Also impressing me was the warm-up group who called themselves Naturally 7. This was a fabulous a cappella group using their voices to also create instruments they virtually played. Simply incredible; no other words to describe them. And befitting was Buble’s praise for them stating that this group should not be anyone’s mere warm-up group. So true!
The fans bridged the gap from young to old. Doing songs that the legendary Frank Sinatra helped make famous, it’s easy to feel the passion from Michael and how much he truly loves what he’s doing.
Frankly his fans feel likewise. Crazy love indeed!
